This is the help and information page for the Developer Exchange, which we call DevEx.

How to Cash Out
If you (a user of Roblox who is 13 years of age or older) have the requisite minimum amount of Robux in your account (as set out in the DevEx Terms), you will be presented with an option to exchange your Robux for U.S. dollars at the then current exchange rate set by Roblox ("Cash Out"). That option to Cash Out will be presented as a "Cash Out" button on your account page. To initiate a Cash Out request, click the "Cash Out" button and enter all requested information: full name, email address, and Roblox password. Once done, enter in the Robux amount you would like to cash out, and signify your continued agreement to the Terms and Conditions by clicking the associated check-box, and click the blue "Cash Out" button. We will then review the request.
If your request is approved, and if this is your first time cashing out, you will receive an email inviting you to create an account on our DevEx portal. You will be prompted to enter your information at account creation. Please make sure your information is entered accurately into the DevEx portal, and is kept up to date at all times. The information you provide is used to verify that all payments comply with applicable laws and regulations. Inaccuracies in information provided could impact your payment.
Exchange Rate
Robux earned after September 5, 2025 at 10am PT will cash out at the “New Rate” of $0.0038 for every Earned Robux. Note that while Robux earned 10am PT or later will use the “New Rate”, balances of Robux earned before that time will continue to cash out at the “Old Rate” of $0.0035 for every Earned Robux.
- New Rate. $0.0038 per Robux (which comes out to $114 USD for 30,000 Earned Robux). This rate applies to all Earned Robux earned on or after 10 AM PT on September 5, 2025.
- Old Rate. $0.0035 per Robux (which comes out to $105 USD for 30,000 Earned Robux). This rate applies to all Earned Robux earned before 10 AM PT on September 5, 2025.

US 18+ DevEx Rate. $0.0054 per Robux (which comes out to $162 USD for 30,000 Earned Robux). This rate is effective as of June 8, 2026, and applies to eligible in-games spend by over 18 year-old players in the United States. See here for eligibility.
Important Notes Related to the Exchange Rates - Please Read

Cash Out "Old Rate" Robux Balances: Your Robux earned before 10 AM PT on September 5, 2025, will cash out at the "Old Rate" of $0.0035 per Robux. You can only cash out all "Old Rate" Robux before you can cash out any Robux earned at the "New Rate.” Note that the US 18+ DevEx rate will cash out before all other rates.
- For example, if you have 30,000 Robux earned before September 5, 2025, you must cash out those 30,000 Robux at the "Old Rate" to begin cashing out at the "New Rate."
- Cash Out Group Funds: If you receive payment in Robux from a Group that earned the Robux before 10 AM PT on September 5, 2025, those Robux will also cash out at the "Old Rate." Your DevEx balance at the “Old Rate” may increase if you receive such Group funds. If the payment was of the US 18+ DevEx rate, this is the rate that you will receive.
- Spending Robux: Spending Robux on the platform (e.g., within experiences or on avatar items) does not reduce your "Old Rate" Earned Robux balance. Any Robux you spend will be deducted from your total balance but will not count towards clearing your "Old Rate" balance first.
